I got notification of that update yesterday, havn't installed it yet, as didn't recognise any of the components.0 -
What about for future updates that are important?0

I've seen similar issues before where it kept saying I needed update KBnnnnnn then came up with an error trying to install it which leads you on a merry dance trying to chase down the reason and find a fix. In the end I simply ignored the problem and eventually it went away.0

I think we found the solution. I will try and install the update that was causing the problem.They seem to have installed ok so that's good.
I tried again but it still failed. I'm not going to worry too much about it. I was more concerned that I wouldn't be able to get any updates installed which I know is important for security. Thank you again for all your suggestions.0 -
It might be worth trying to delete the downloaded update thats failing to install and then letting the system redownload it it may just be a corrupted download. Follow these instructions to delete the download your are trying to install. It's cured my install problems in the past.0
