I would actually do the opposite and go round with some cans of beer or a bottle of wine and see if he can be reasonable.
You said that he said "there's no pleasing you", so perhaps you inadvertently did something in the past that upset him.
Once you have tried that, if things don't improve, there is nothing much you can do except move.0 -
Round here the kids set fire to the recycling bins. I'd be quite happy if all I had to worry about was a dog piddling on them...0
