Ironic how we have to have insurance by law, but we're to afraid to use it when we need to.

    makes me think of Chris Rock;

They shouldn't even call it insurance.
They just should call it ''in case sh**.''
l give a company some money
    in case sh** happens.
    Now, if sh** don't happen,
shouldn't l get my money back?

hello! just looking for a bit of advice. looks like local scallywags have poured brake fluid (or something similar) over a number of cars including my own!! the police are coming round to speak to me but wondering what they'll do - if anything? also, cost is an issue. it's looking to be a bonnet paint job needed... would it be worth claiming on my insurance or having to suck this up and get hit with the cost?

I think you can be fairly confident that the police will do nothing beyond issuing a crime report number if you're lucky (not that you'll need one if you're not claiming).

You only need Third Party insurance by law.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the result of some silent parking dispute....

I'd hope nobody would be petty enough to destroy a car because of a parking dispute :(

Or if they were, I'd hope they were man enough to admit it so that I could break them quite badly :rotfl:

doubtful it's a silent parking dispute, i don't live in the best of areas but surprised these neds are smart enough to know what would happen when you put brake fluid on car paint.

Surprised they'd go buy brake fluid just to do that...

Some car insurance companies include vandalism cover that doesn't affect your NCB.

    Check your small print.
  • Neds broke a window at my girlfriends house. Police arrived in minutes took them away.

Found out they had a talking to and explained its not nice to smash peoples windows and taken home and that was the end of the matter.

Girlfriend was out of pocket till the landlord repaid and dont think he ever recived his money back:mad:

But your premium will still mysteriously go through the roof the following year.
