ok really really skint this week i have a 5.00 voucher for tesco from my points i collected but i was wondering if i could also use some pampers 1.00 and 2.00 off coupons either instead or with the 5.00 coupon even if the nappies i am going to purchase are tesco ones?? i know its cheeky but am desperate

I've just used three £2 Pampers vouchers no problem in Tesco.... and I didn't even buy any nappies today, because i've got loads coming from a Boots online offer!
Look out for a young lad who will serve you and be nice and chatty with him. It always works for me. It doesn't hurt to be nice :-)

You'll be fine tinkerbell. Take care and let us know how you get on. While I think of it, our store in Blackpool was giving out free Huggies and coupons today and I got talking to the lady who gave me a pile of free nappies! Worth seeing if your Tesco's is doing something similar. xxx

Im being very cheeky this evening cos i too am broke and will be using a huge pile of quick read coupons!! as above it helps to go to a nice young lad and be chatty.

You will be OK tinkerbell, but please all you coupon-newbies, DON'T feel guilty and DON'T feel you have to use the self-scan!

IMHO the self-scan is much more strictly policed than any till, you could get pounced on by a Supervisor who could void them all and make you feel awful!

Just go to a friendly young cashier, preferably a college 'evening or weekend shift' young lad, and ask at the end 'would you mind scanning any of my coupons please?' If (rarely) you get the reply 'have you bought any of the items?' just reply 'No, not this time but in another Tesco they scan some for me without buying the products...' (smile sweetly).

Tesco should certainly take a Pampers voucher or five, even if you are only buying food. That's their policy, it's not cheeky of you to offer coupons as part payment. Once you've got used to paying with coupons you will never look back, I can assure you....:D

You should try the checkout folk in Inverness......... Strict as anything and there is never any misprices either....I'm moving down South to get a bargain!!!
