Micro sim PAYG for Iphone 4 in the USA
Options
I have a Iphone4 which is unlocked with a Data plan with one of the major telco's.
I am visiting the USA in April and want to get a PAYG micro sim card. I would have data roaming switched of and would use wifi for data. The card would be for calls only.
I have had PAYG sim cards before from AT&T (GO Phone) that I have put in to a non smart phone. These are the normal sims, not micro as used in the new Iphone4.
Has anyone any experience of this.
I am well aware you can cut a normal sim to size but would prefer not too.

Hi Jon, when were you last in the USA. Did you go in to an AT&T store?
The micro sim only came out with the Iphone4 about mid 2010 so it is only just getting some discussion. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
I was there Nov last years and for a few days in late Jan.
Haven't ever been in an AT&T store, tend to get them from either drug stores or Target/Walmart. They all stock AT&T, but I saw nothing marked as mirco sim.0 -
Can't you just get a standard PAYG Sim and cut it down yourself to a Micro Sim...
I've cut a Data Sim Card down to a Micro Sim to fit into my iPad without any problems.
There are several videos and templates on the net if you google it0 -
I have just telephoned an AT&T store in the USA.
Yes they do micro sims
Yes, "maybe" they can "load" money on a Micro sim
BUT Micro sims cost $15 whereas normal sim cards are no charge.
I am sure in a short time micro sims will be free of charge but they charge $15 at the moment because they can.
so it looks like a normal sim plus scissors.
AT&T Customer service, I don't think
thanks everyoneThere will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0
