If everything was as per the fitting instructions, then Sainsburys product has failed and they are liable for the lot.
Take photographs. Do not deal with them face-to-face, or on the telephone. Everything in writing."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
I've tried going on the Sainsburys website but I can't seem to find a bracket that is up to 46" / holds 80lbs. Do you have a link or model number etc? It does seem odd, a bracket made of plastic, for that size of TV.
I'd expect they will want to send someone round to have a look at what's happened, and to check it was installed properly. Take lots of pictures before this happens. Do you have any pics of the bracket to upload here?0 -

The book stated "upto 46"..... upto 80lbs...." and my TV is 42" and weighs less than 60lbs.

We once put a wall bracket up in my daughters bedroom and put combi portable on wall, again it was within weight, it came down too. We successfully claimed off our house insurance (about 10 years ago)0
