Advice plz!
Looking to buy some payg dongles for Mobile internet.
Now if i am reading this right, when i look at 3, o2 and vodafone, although it says pay as u go, it looks as if its pay as u go in a contract term ?
ie: Top up with £10 a month and get say 1gb data allowance for that month ?????
Is there a plan out there where you pay for what you use ?
ie: I need a pay as u go dongle that lets me top up when i need to... I use an average 10mb per month or less even, so i need the option of buying the dongle, putting say £20 credit on it, and then topping up in say 6 months....
Is there such a thing ?

its not for a month it lasts a month if youre a basic user youre nor in a contract on payas you go either
on three thye do a plan where you can pay £2 pounds for a days worth so say you wanted to use it today but not till next month you pay £2,00 for today and nothing till the next time you use itReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
I have 17 laptops with users, who submit data daily, or 5 days a week. The data they send can amount to a total of say 200k, or less, as its XML data....
I have seen the £2 per day or £7.50 per week, but those options are useless...
I could go with '3' on an 18 month contract for there 1gb per month at £7.87 totalling £141.....
But given the dongles sell for around £25, and expected data usage for say 18 months would equate to around 1gb total, am looking at ways of keeping our costs down.... ie, paying for what we use...
I guess the operators dont charge £ per MB these days ?0 -
talk to the network as it looks like you want 17 dongles.. they may well sort a deal out for you.Sealed pot challenger # 10

i did, they said go on contract for £7.87 a month for 18 months with 1gb data allowance.... grrrrrrr !!
Thing is, i have 17 users, they currently do a bluetooth connection from laptop to there phones for sending data.... There phones are Nokia E5's which are 3G enabled, along with the SIMs that go in the phones. Using Orange this is..
Am wondering if it would be worth getting seperate dongles ?0 -
why not just get a mifi for 17 users....0
