    Okies..

    Bit behind on checking receipts etc so;

    £11.58 in local farm shop
    £10.46 & £12.39 at local co-op

Avoided the big stores as I have only needed fresh bits n bobs and have picked up some good offers too so am fairly well stocked for a while too.

Amazingly on track too need to pop to the tin shop at some point too and stock up there specially as Sainsbugs Value beans have turned all yucky of late and the tin shop ones are much nicer.

    Neways..

    Sig done

I'm gutted. I was being all domestic-goddessy, and I had tomorrow's dinner in the oven ready for warming through as soon as we get home. Then, my friend rang, and am hour and 10 minutes later, I realised it was still in there! Went into the kitchen, and omg it stinks to high heaven!! So, that's some food that's going to go in the bin then, and I'll have to think of something different for tomorrow. Serves me right for trying to be so organised! Never mind.

NSD though - I didn't even want to go and mooch around the sm before the children were dropped home, so that's real progress. I'm so proud of myself! I won't shop tom or friday, but will need to get some bits sat for going out, so i'll see if anything else needs buying at the same time, so I won't have to lose another nsd another day! Can't really think of anything I'll want just yet, although fruit and veg will prob be quite low by then.

    Night all

Morning everyone - getting organised this morning, BM on making Dough for Rolls and just about to sort the SC for tonight's Mince. Won't be going anywhere near any Shops today so should be a NSD for me today. Will keep myself busy in the Kitchen and get out into the Greenhouse to get some more Seeds sown.

    Have a good day everyone.;)

I had another NSD yesterday. But will have to get some washing powder today. Really p'd off as I had enought to last till I did my grocery shop but with all the extra washing I have had to do with DC2 being sick every night, I have run out.

Am making my store cupboard list up at the moment as DH is taking me to Aldi's and Lidl's on Saturday. Hate wasting a weekend shopping but as they have some good deals on at the moment that coincide with my menu plan, I need to take atvantage.

£idls have some good deals on this week meat wise for anyone who might be interested:

For the next 7 days there is
700g Pack Pork Chops for £2.79
    800g Pork Loin Joint £3.99
    2 x 340g Packs Gammon Steaks for £2.60
    2 x 400g Packs Unsmoked Middle Bacon for £2.40

And for Saturday & Sunday only
575g Pack Chicken Breast Fillets for £1.99!

I'd earmarked my meat money for w/c 28th March, but we eat a lot of Chicken and I can't afford to pass on it when it's such a good price even if I do have enough already to last me the rest of the month.

I dice it all and bag up into lots of 200g before freezing it so it goes a lot further than an individual breast. OH & myself will get 3 meals out of a 575g pack.
2 x 200g and 1 x 175g. 175g is plenty for a stir fry padded out with stir fry veg and noodles. So for £1.99 we get (the meat part of) 3 meals @ just over 33p per head - not to be sniffed at!

Gammon Steaks are one of the few things that DD will eat now and again on her better days, so I'll pick some of those up too, and also the bacon. I have always bought back bacon, but I bought some of the above middle bacon last month, and it's not bad at all, so will be getting a couple of those too.

Had a NSD yesterday, but we're having Roasted Sausages, with Roasted Red Onion, Roasted Peppers & Roasted Sweet Potato for tea, served with Cous Cous & a Large Mixed Salad (yum) and I need to buy the Sweet Potato and Peppers and £idls have very kindly got their Sweet Potato on offer today - which is rather decent of them ;)
Shame they haven't got Peppers on offer too - although £1.39 for 3 is a lot cheaper than the SMs anyway, so mustn't be greedy :D

Actually, just noticed that Wa!trose seem to have them on offer at the mo for £1.29, but I'm nowhere near one, and they're £1.65 at Te$cos (which I am near), so £1.39 will do me fine :)

    Have a good day everyone

Morning all, oh I do like shopping at 7am in the morning! A nice clear car park and not many people about. It's great. :) Just spent another £73.07, which I know is massive (for me) but this shop should last us a couple of weeks now. I'll update my sig accordingly. Got loads of stuff that will get used everyday and stocked up on some meat which I know I can stretch.

Hope everyone has a good day. Thanks, Hippeechiq for the offers update. :)

    KB xx

Edited to add that I've probably blown the budget for this month, but I shall do better next month. I promise!
