The weather is glorious here. I spent the morning pottering about in the garden. It has put me in a good mood!
Chicken curry for dinner this evening. I am defrosting the curry sauce at the moment. I have to cut the chicken up after lunch. I will take any leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I have to pop in into Te**o on the way to pick up ds from school. I have my list at the ready so I will not be sidetracked with any 'bargains'. I am pretty confident I will come in under budget this month.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

It is beautiful here too today, it always makes you feel better when the sun is shining
Great minds think alike and all that - we are having chicken curry tonight, I am going to do a big batch and freeze most of it, just wondering if dh will grumble too much if I give him half a naan bread with it :rotfl:we never finish a whole one each and it seems such a waste.
OMG - all this OS stuff is rapidly turning me into my mother :rotfl:GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100 -

I really need to get bill down and doing great so far I feel, I've really got the food bill down it's the nappies and baby milk that adds up...but have changed to Mr A's nappies now and well can't do anything about his milk so will just have to remind self he goes onto normal milk in Aug and that will be here before I can blink lolMummy to Lewis Born Aug 100 -
I went shopping in the morning because I thought that if I was not hungry I would not fall for tasty food... it seems I was too sleepy because I fell for offers anyway!!! At least I could not bring all the stuff I wanted because I have to carry it back and I can only buy up to a certain weight. My DH keeps telling me I am nuts and I could use the car but I know that if I did I would stock up in tins, soups and heavy stuff I do not need. So my wallet is safer this way. Anyway, I've spent £68.05 which freakly enough is the exact amount I spent last week in MrM in different products! Lol So my new up to date total is £136.10, I do have to go tomorrow for milk (I could not carry it) but I think I will bring the total up to £140 and then I do not need to buy anything else for the week. I think I have meals for both this week and next week so I need to start thinking on the last 15 days, I can see this is going to be a difficult month.
I bought another pork shank for £1.70 and I have boiled it. I was going to buy a pack of sliced ham but then I saw the cheapest one is around that price and quite bad quality, full of water, reformed and other stuff. So I have bought the shank to do sandwiches, I have had one for lunch and the taste is great! I can use the bone for some stock when we finish with it.
MrM had Sugar Puffs (Chocolate and normal ones) at 99p.
Also Cheerios and Shredies 600g (big box) for around £1.40.
Dark chocolate for baking 70p
1Kg sugar 68p
1.5Kg SR flour McDoughall 70p (offer)
1.5Kg Morrisons plain flour 52p
1.5 Kg potatoes 30p
1 Kg Parsnips 30p
Multipack 18 Walkers crisps at £1.89 (~10p the bag)
I also bougth some cheap wine for cooking at £2.69, basic pasta, chopped tomatoes, etc. I am starting to buy all the tinned stuff from the basic range, the cheapest of the cheapest because I cannot see any difference between basic chopped tomatoes and not so basic chopped tomatoes, when I am going to chuck it in a stew.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Lamb Tagine for dinner tonight, with cous cous.
2nd Purse
Just bought 4 x 5 kg bags of Kohinoor Gold extra long grain basmati rice on offer at the moment @ 2 for £10 from T***0's. Use by date Jan 2013. Rice of this quality is around £4 if you buy it by the kilo. So at £1 per kilo it is an excellent buy, I am well pleased.
You can get them on line and in store, they were up on the highest shelf and the price wasn't marked (a bit naughty of them).
Also bought 10 X 1 Litre bottles of Robinson's Orange Barley on B1G1F 10 for £5. I use at least 1 per week. So another good buy.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Hi All,
We so far I have spent £10.73 last week in just getting bits (milk, bread, potatoes etc) in.
I have put an order in for T*sco for delivery on Thursday, which came to a guide price total of £91.39 + £3.50 (delivery) = £94.89 , this includes £10.24 of bogof's etc.
So I used one of the vouchers that arrived the other day £13 off a £90 spend and I also had £17 in clubcard vouchers to get the total down. I'm left to pay £64.89.
This will leave me with £24.38 for fresh items for the rest of the month. This is assuming that you all class vouchers etc as free money???
I am now panicking that it won't all fit in the freezer, as I only have a standard fridge freezer. If it does I should be covered for the next 6 weeks (depending on that my meal planning attempt works  )

Ugh, can't stop spending
Spent another £12.32 today on various bits we needed, and hopefully won't spend too much tomorrow when I get the rest of the shopping done. I'm doing it in two parts this week to see if limiting what I can carry makes me stick rigidly to my shopping list. So far, so good. Anyway, leftover chicken & ham pie for tea tonight, and a nice quiet one, I think. Have a good evening, all.
