Just updated my total with this weeks spends, less than £2 left. Have our meals planned so shouldn't need to spend any more money. Dinner tonight is HM veggie Lasagne, tomorrow I'm making ChocClare's Chicken, Friday is Fish, HM chips and mushy peas and Saturday is DR Beef Rib Trim(not used this before so will be interesting). Will use up the veg that we have left in Fridge and freezer so fingers crossed I'll make it.:o

It's been a real hard struggle to make it in budget this month, finding it harder and harder each month with prices going up all the time - if I do make it then I'm going to buy some Chocolate with what's left as a Reward.:p

Good Luck everyone - have a good evening.:D

Just a little spend of £3.90 at the greengrocers on...

Punnet of strawberries (79p)
Big bunch of sweet juicy grapes £2.70 ish
2 bananas (35p)

My greengrocer is cheaper than the supermarket for most things but you can't always get some exotic things (like kiwi fruit:rotfl:) there.

Hi All

I've been and done the last weekly shop of March (i hope!) and unbelievably spent £18.92! Ok I have only brought fresh fruit and veggies and a few basics i'd run out of like rice and porridge and just what was needed to complete our meals for the rest of the month.
I'm sure i've forgotten something but hopefully have a small enough amount left to cover that if i need it ;) (or treat myself to a bottle of something :D ) Off to update sig.

ETA - My maths is not what it used to be - Actually only spent £17.42 so even better!
:j Mortgage Free!! )
Generally trying to cut back where possible :j
• Updating to add £38.76 of this week's £50 budget

I won't need anything else food wise till next week's shop, and that is the last shop of my March budget. I've gotten sooo much better at this since I started GC in Jan - am really pleased.

Thanks old stylers :money:

• Spent a lot at Mr T today but after my mail voucher and then my DTD voucher it came to £65, and £13 was on Easter eggs (not counted) so effectively £52 which puts me over budget but this is because I have been taking advantage of the DTD deals at Mr T (I'll get a voucher from this shop too). I'm going to be spending more tomorrow on groceries but this should mean that I can lower my budget for the following months (not that I will :o)

Thats really poor of them, I have my fingers crossed for you. I'm a "certain time of the month" eater - I pig out on anything and everything thats unhealthy for about 2 or 3 days - the kids hide their sweets from me as I have"borrowed" them on a couple of occasions lol

Just had to nip to the Co@p to get DD's comic and managed to buy yet more food [although, it was reduced]

Someone asked for a pumpkin seed and lentil gratin like the one served at Ikea. I often make nut/lentil loafs and this recipe http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/3498/lentil-and-cashew-nut-roast.aspx is a bit like the one served at ikea you could try playing around with the ingredients and substituting the cashews for some seeds and it may be close?
Hope this helps
