That's hopefully the weekly shop for me done, another £19.90 to add to the grocery challenge total. Which means that, for this month, I've blown it. Whoops. But there's always next month and I'll set my goal a little higher so I can get a bit closer to achieving it. Never mind! At least it is making me think more! I'll go update my sig now.

    Another spend!!!

I only needed milk & bread, but picked up a pack of whoopsied pancakes for brekkie. Oh, and a bottle of wine seems to have found it's way into my fridge too???:rotfl:

Had a Mr T DTD voucher for £2 so really the shop should have costs me nowt, if it weren't for that pesky bottle of wine (which is delish!!)

My GC runs til Monday (payday) I'm on hols from work for 2 weeks after Friday :j I'm gonna be super geeky & spend monday doing a shopping list so I can get the most from Mr T's DTD. Then use my voucher to bulk buy basics.
My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

    Well, hello everyone! :hello:

I'm still reading your excellent work on keeping the grocery costs down and you're doing fantastically well. :T Not long now to April and another challenge. :j

We've been getting things here and there and keeping the reciepts though I have been slow to update my siggy, :naughty: smack my wrists! Anyway we're now on £155.38 with just over a week to go. I'm hoping that a lot of the stocking up I've done on butter and cheese particularly (I got more yesterday beforethe offers finished) will keep costs down for a little while. The NSD count is going ok at 13 days so far.

Right I'm off now, do take care and enjoy the challenge you've set yourself. And if you're over no probs another month is just around the corner! ;)

    Take care,
    Spigs

We have had two of the grandchildren all weekend due to illness etc so the meals have been altered a little to suit them, although tbh they do eat most things. They are back home now so meal plan back on track with chilli tonight which was lovely and there is some left to freeze tomorrow. :)

Went to B&M today and brought toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and 2 tins of the tomatoes at 29p that someone mentioned. Only brought 2 until I try them and if they ok will get some more as I usually pay 33p for them. (not a huge saving but.....)Then nipped into the green grocers and brought clementines, 3 ruby grapefruits, celeriac, beetroot, pears, bananas and a cauliflower at 59p where as Te$co's were £1.27 :eek:Total spent today was £14.03 Made some mushroom soup yesterday which we had for lunch both yesterday and today with some crusty rolls and cheese and also put two lots of chicken stock into freezer. Hoping to make some soup with the celeriac sometime this week - will do same recipe as for celery soup unless anyone has any other ideas to use it?

Cant believe that March is nearly over - a quarter of the year gone already :o
Am going to reduce Aprils budget a little but dont know by how much yet. I still have £128 of this months left so have been checking to see if missed a receipt and I really dont think I have which is amazing for us. :D
With money that is left I am undecided if I ought to just bank it or if it would be wise to buy some things that we use often and stock up a bit more. Any ideas on this greatly appreciated. :)

Good luck everyone to the end of this month then its time to start it all over again. :rotfl:
