I am another one who forgot it was a 5 week month
, so I have £9.42 to last me until 31st, which is 1 more main shop. I'll be happy if I come in under £300, which is probably the target I should have set.
Spent £33.35 in L*dl including 3 packs of the chicken breast and the 42 wash Daz powder on offer for £3.99. Then spent £32.78 in T$scos and got everything on my list that wasn't cheaper in L*dls.LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

£41.83 spent in A$da this week. Note to self *do not try and do the weekly grocery shopping on a migraine day. I did get some more cat food than usual though as it was on offer.
I agree with you when you got a migraine you just cant focus on anything else since i've stoped going out when i get that niggly throb on one side i've noticed i buy less and stay on track more often than not still go over if its a bargain but the way things are at the minute i'll be lucky if i can get to the end of the month just with the essential
It has helped me splitting my shop into groups like drinks, main meals ,quick meals (for days when my head real bad, when i get a bad un it can last 3 days ) if anything left i get stuff to make cakes and might get a few biccys if i make them kids dont touch em but they soon eat all the cake and muffins
I'm not sure where i'm up to with spends this month as been relying on cupboard and freezer a lot and they are getting empty which is very very strange the only time they are usually empty is when i clean them just hope it doesn't cost too much filling them back up again
I wanted to try the 2nd purse idea this month but due to lack of cash will have to wait til maybe april or may2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year0 -
CHICKEN AND CHORIZO BAKE
well i have to say its nommyi was going to use chedder instead of mozzerella but i found some mozzy in the freezer and used that , it was really tasy and filling
Will try and incorporate that in next months menu plan then. Thanks for the feedback hun. When do you hear about your job?
Has anyone else noticed that Te$co seem to have stopped stocking Tratt0ria Tinned Tomatoes? Went in today to pick up 3 tins and they had none on the shelves or space for any either...almost like they never stocked them. I'm gutted, as I use a lot of tinned toms and they were 33p per tin, and they were always in a lovely, thick sauce too.
Anyone tried their Value Tinned Tomatoes?

I got some from Morisons today for 30p a tin, (Gia brand) not tried them yet so don't know what they're like. I usually use value toms and I find they are as good as any.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Evening all
I need to start this again as I've been spending way too much, most probably in the region of £300+. This is for a family of 2, 1 old and fussy cat and 2 old gerbils. It includes all food, cleaning, toiletries and drink
My month starts from the 19th so could you please count me in for April, I will allocate £250.00.
Please wish me luck for my new start, I may need it.:o
(will catch up with thread when get a chance).

Hello All
I have lost the plot with the GC this month due to starting work for the first time in over a year, DS having a viral infecton and me and DH coming down with a similar bug and buying things to tempt DS and what we fancied or was easy. I bought ready made mash for the first time in about 3 years:eek:. I know I have overspent which is disapointing as I felt we had it cracked this month.
Will start reading the thread again ready to start April's challenge all fired up:D Not sure when my challenge will run from yet as I think my new pay day is next week
XSSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -

it was really nice , i did tweak it a bit though, the recipe states 4 chicken breasts, i used 2 but increased the pasta ( works out a fair bit cheaper as i used 3/4 of a bag of value pasta which was 20p a bag :j)
i used approx 75g of chorizo
i used mozzerella but didnt use any of the other cheeses
everything else was the same i think and was really yummy and there was plenty for 4 people HTH x
thanks for asking about my job, i find out on wednesday  i feel so anxious about itjust hoping and praying that its not me
