    For earlies i grow Rocket
For my main crop i grow Vivaldi you can use these for everything and are even good if you are on a low carb diet. These are the best spuds i have ever grown.

Thank you guys for all the recommendations..

Anya sounds very good (for new potato-boil if I understand correctly?), failing that Charlotte,
and Rooster it is for chippy/mashed ones I think?

Rooster is great for chipping, mashing, steaming, baking & roasting but Charlotte is more a salad potato suitable for boiling.
I got both of these two packs from Morissons 5 seeds for £1! bargain!

    Hi,

For growing in tubs, I'd imagine it would be best to go for small potatoes. So Pink Fir Apple are small, although very popular, there wasn't any left at the nursery I went to at the weekend. Charlotte is another good salad potato.

pfa's can grow large actually ... i regularly get crops where 1 spud is approx 2kg in weight !!!! my partner thinks i should submit them to the guinness book of records

as for recommendations then its got to be ...

pfa's for salad or anyas as others suggest - but who peels salad spuds anyway?

vivaldi, rooster, maris pipers or kind eddies for a good all rounder that will produce excellent mash, chips, roast and baked (jackets)

pretty much forget the rest lol

I think this is what I was given a couple of years ago by a friend.
If I remember correctly, they are quite a floury potato, good for mashing ect
