Im nearing the end of my current contract with t mobile, im shopping around for a better handset, I know I dont want to keep my current one (its carp:rotfl:) but everywhere now seems to deal in 24month contracts only for handsets inc
I get bored easily and like my gadgets so really dont want to tie-in for 2 years, but everything I can afford which is an 'upgrade' from my current handset is 24 months
Do companies still sell them but you need to ask ? or am i stuffed ??

There was talk of some EU legislation suggesting operators have to offer 12 month contracts, however it is not clear if that is to include a handset, from a while back now I have gone sim only and purchased the handset sim free, saves on worrying about insurance (as one is extra careful with the handset) and saves being tied into a long term contract.0

Even if it does offer 12 months, costs are likely to be high on the monthly or phone side.0 -

Using rough figures, I reckon about £65 a month minimum for a "free" 16gb iPhone 4 (£45 for the phone and £20 for the data / calls / texts (based on O2's cheapest 12 month SIM-only plan)). Even at that price there'll be plenty of takers. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Just buy the phone of your choice SIM-free and switch to a SIM only tariff-then you can upgrade to the latest shiny new phone as often as you like.No free lunch, and no free laptop
