  • We were greedy and had two

Robbie Williams - Let me entertain you - lol:wink:#

the Ronan Keating - when you say nothing at all - this is our song x
  • We had 'Be my baby' by The Ronettes - and it's ony ofmy favourite memories of the day!

re: the poster who said 'On our wedding video (showing my age now) we had a Rainy Night In Soho by the Pogues - we liked it but not sure how romantic it is.' - i think it's very romantic. So much so that I actually quoted it in my groom speech, the line 'you're the measure of my dreams' always gets me!

We had and Shania Twain theme - 'Still the One' for the dance, and 'From This Moment' to walk out after signing the register.

She's more popular then i'd imagined from this thread.

Husband wanted Otis Redding singing "I've been loving you too long"! Lovely song but I decided it wasn't appropriate so we settled on Otis singing "That's how strong my love is"
I played this to HWTHMBO when I found out I was pregnant with our DS#1 (now 10).
just in case you need to know:
HWTHMBO - He Who Thinks He Must Be Obeyed (gained a promotion, we got Civil Partnered Thank you Steinfeld and Keidan)
    DS#1 - my twenty-five-year old son
DS#2 - my twenty -one son
  • Sisters had Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You and Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl. If my boyfriend and I ever get married I think we'll have the Smash Mouth version of I'm A Believer, because I'd prefer an uptempo first dance and the lyrics are very appropriate for us.

I really want to work that into my future wedding somehow as one of my earliest memories is of my parents singing it at home. It's such a great song and makes me emotional when I hear it.

When I worked in a hotel You're Still The One was one of the three most popular first dance songs. The others were Amazed and Rule The World.

Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")

We'd probably have Perfect Day - Lou Reed (corny, but it's 'our song'). or Sixpence None The Richer's Kiss Me as it reminds us of Ireland.

My BGF had Cyndi Lauper's True Colours (not a dry eye in the house)

another (weird) friend had Rammstein's Du Hast Mich
