Interesting point though. I wonder what drives the obsessives who are so keen to root out all these so-called conspiracies. What do they get out of it.

I can't help but agree with julieq that it's some kind of desire - almost adolescent - to have the answer to a question that noone really gives a damn about.

And yet when you let this belief directly affect both you and your life choices, and those of your family as smeagold is doing - with his hoarding of silver to buy a house and become self-sufficient - well, it all gets a bit sad.

Well, good to see Quack a Jack has put up a spirited defence today.

Anyway, no doubt it isn't long until we find out we are actually part of this conspiracy and we have been sent to discredit poor old quack a jack. Before I continue my review, a couple of thoughts on the video thus far.

1) The initial entry is a stark warning that we are headin for a police state. No private life etc etc. Yet the video repeatedly gets very exorcised about a group of people who meet up and keep what they say secret. They say it is wrong they have the meetings in private and they should be forced out in to the open. Is there not a bit of a contradiction in that?

2) The Blindenbergs are actually a little thick. I mean if they are a group of the most pwerful people in the world, how did they manage to let slip their meeting location and let quack a jack and co turn up outside?

This is quite funny, it starts of with what is obviously a chilled out guy, shirt sleaves undone. He like to throw his arms around to swing his cuffs around. Anyway, he certainly talks and projects like he is lecturing a class. But hang on a minute, he is in front of some sort of green screen. There is no audience. Ok, well what is he saying then....

He is explaining that any organisation has more people at the bottom than at the top. He gives the very inciteful example of a bank cashier not knowing what is going on in th bank managers office and the bank manager not knowing what is going on at the HQ. And so only a few that know what is going on. No s**t sherlock, of course they are structured like that. You think the 20,000 employees are going to have a conference call each morning with a quick round robin to discuss the day ahead?

Oh god, please stop talking about pyramids! I'm starting to think you have no evidence and your entire argument is based on the shape of a pyramid. Yep, there is a gloabl pyramid. If you only watch one part of this vid, have a look at 39:39. It looks like he has a giant hand. Very funny. I think that is my highlight so far.

I guess even in a post-religious society, some people still feel the need for some kind of faith based belief system, where they can join a congregation and discuss how best to smite the devil.

Yes, but these multinational companies do organise their people in a pyramid structure. Some even make products shaped as pyramids, almost as if to mock those who have yet to understand their devious plans - you only have to look at PG Tips and toblerone.

Apparently the word "Columbia" is bad.

Now we are on the $1 bill. Apparently they use 13 a lot on there. E.g Above the all seeing eye (on the pyramid! :eek:) there are 13 letters. They fail to mention that under it there are 17 letters. How does that fit in?

This is turning in to a joke now. Apparently every year all of the ex presidents meet up and dress up like the Klu Klux Clan. Gather round an open pit of fire, 25 ft owl etc etc. Be interesting to see how that one works out when the current president starts to attend. It is ok, they have some evidence for this though. A very grainy video that lasts about 3 seconds.

Blimey, this all happened at the Bohemiam Grove. Another location where for some reason, a private land owner refused entry to their property. They had security keep them out and oh, I just can't believe this, they actually prosecuted people for trespass who went on to the land without permission! Apparently the grainy video is actually longer than 3 seconds, but you have to watch another film to see that evidence, go figure! Oh wait, they do show a bit more. Skip to 52:45 to see this impressive, conclusive, concrete evidence.

Part 2: Problem Reaction Solution

Well ok then, but I was kind of hoping for that small thing called evidence, but lets see where this one goes...

Oh no, we are on to 9/11 and the suggestion of a controlled demolition. There are a series of comments from WTC engineers and architechts stating that it should have withstood multiple impacts from airplanes. Should not have collapsed. Etc Etc. You could alsmost think of this as evidence. But hang on. Just stop and think for a minute. If the WTC engineers were required to build a building that could withstand the impact of an airplane and when they finished the WTC that is what they told the world they had done, what do you think they will say when it comes down due to a plane strike? If they deviated from that story by 1 iota, they could count on the full force of the rather litigous nation of America.

To be fair, 1:05 to about 1:16 they try to actually present some evidence for how the WTC collapse couldn't have been because of air strikes or jet fuel. The suggestion is that other explosions brought down the WTC. There are numerous people and footage from the day where people repeatedly use the word explosion. There are tapes of firefighters who repeatedly use the word explosion. But seriously, how many of those know the sounds a skyscrpaer makes as it goes through a collapse and how they compare to demolition explosions. I doubt any of those on the video. There you are, you have just seen 2 planes fly in to the WTC towers 1 and 2. I think it is fair to assume you feel like your country is under attack. You hear a loud noise. Not heard anything like that before. I reckon I would probably have called any loud bang an explosion under those circumstances.

The next piece is on the way the building fell. I'm not a structural engineer, so can't really comment, but to just believe a selected sample is wrong. If the video presented both sides and they rebuffed point and counter point, fair enough. But it is a case of listen to this technical speak, sounds good, so must be correct. They point to the fact that witnesses described the fact that parts of the lobby were already on fire or burnt out before the collapse. That doesn't mean it must have been a bomb. Maybe the jet fuel or burnigng debris fell down a lift shaft, or ventilation area, maybe there was another explanation. But to just link the 2 and assert it as a fact is nuts.

The next piece is all of these puffs of smoke that they higlight as the towers collapse. Apparently these are explosions to bring the tower down. They look rather random to me, not exactly like a controlled demolition. The building was collapsing !!!!!!, who knows how the floors folded down on each other, where pressure was exerted and the result.
