Please help... suffering a mental block!
I recently changed my mobile number for the first time in years. I've informed my family, friends, employer, Facebook, bank and credit card companies, but can you think of anyone else I might need to inform?

Was there any particular reason why you didn't keep the old number?
In the past, I've kept the old sim active as a payg and just left a voicemail greeting to say "This number is no longer in use. You can contact me at new number xxxx" . Keep this running as long as you like and hopefully it'll catch anyone you've forgotten to informed. Plus my old sim was with Orange, so I keep it anyway for the occasional Orange WednesdayAnd I have a spare sim, in case I need to lend the phone to a visiting relative from overseas who needs a phone.

Yes, I've changed my number mid-contract as I've been receiving a lot of nuisance calls recently. I think someone has given his number out incorrectly and given mine out by mistake. I tried answering them and telling them they had the wrong number, but they were adamant they had the right number.
After a month or so of this and several calls to my network, I decided the easiest way to end it was just to change my number. The new one's easier to remember anyway!0 -
Why would you need to tell Facebook your mobile number? Maybe that's where your nuisance calls come from.0
