hey penguin ... i think there have been a few of us MIA recently ... i think sometimes life/debt etc can just get overwhelming and we just need to take a break ... i know i felt for a while that i didnt have anything worthwhile to contribute and also found what i was saying on my own diary was getting more and more down and all about the same thing ( think that is a relfection of what was going on in my life at the time)

wonderful to see old faces and meet new ones ... i know together we can all get there ( in our own time obviously lol)

i just got a text message from my work ... my wages wont be in tomorrow as the company have had some issue ... but i will get paid by Monday ... ok i can manage but i know there are plenty of people who are dependant on their wages being in in the morning ... this is just another reminder that whilst i am in debt and have no savings .... i am beholden and needy of another person/thing ( my company) ... couldnt have came at a better time really

well today i went to the dr's fully expecting to be signed back to work ... i dont feel as if i am 100% sorted with everything but i thought there would be no chance of me getting another line ... the dr asked me what was going on at home and i explained it all to him .... for the first time since he has been my dr i felt as if he actually listened .... he gave me another line which in hind sight i probably do need to get fully ready to go back to the type of job i do ...

just off to the marriage guidence just now then hopefully back in time to get some of the garden done .... i am itching to get some serious time spent out there

you know how when you finally feel ready to conquer the mountain that is your debt then life piles more debt onto you ? well today that pile came in the form of parts for the car totally £130 ... i kinda knew this was coming though ... not that i had any money saved for the parts but atleast it wasnt a shock lol ....

todays counselling went well hubby seems to have came to a few new realisations in his journey of self discovery so that is a positive

we went out today after the counselling session for a cheap meal ( £3.99 for me £7.75 (including drinks) for hubby with a free ice-cream etc) sometimes it is good to talk things over and see where we both are ... however this has put our eating out bill of whack .... so i think we will need to sit down and go over this again

in other news ( well not really it does involve more spending lol ) thanks to flying fresian i got a deal with groupon .... the hotel which has a resturant attached to it have an offer on for £24 for a meal for two instead of the usual price of (i think) £62 .... now we tried to go to this place to have a family meal before when both our son and myself got into uni but (we all felt that ) as we didnt turn up smart dressed we got turned away ... so the three of us popped off to a great chinese and had a wonderful time (and spent a huge amount of money)... it was then in the paper that this place was in trouble with finances which is why i reckon they have put the deal forward trying to make extra money etc .... however we will get a good (hopefully) meal... i WILL wear my make up that night (promise hypno)... and it is going to be a cheapish way for us to spend some time together that we just couldnt afford otherwise

ive also noticed that we are sitting down once a month and discussing the finances then not really dealing with any issues till the next month .... this isnt going to work ... like wise though i dont want to be doing it every day/week ... but i have figured out that we get paid at different times each month (fortnight apart) so we will discuss the finances fortnightly .... that way we can be on top of the whole situation

ohhh son has just phoned he remembered that he had offered to take us out for our dinner for our xmas .... so tomorrow we are off to chiquitos .... hubby and i have a 25% discount thingy for there (from the last time we were there) to use so that will help with the bill ...

when he phoned he said where do you wanna go hubby said oh chiquitos to which i replied "no that place isnt cheap" son said "that's ok i dont mind the price" but hubby and i said "no we will pay some of it" son said " nope my treat i said i would take you ... how much is this place like ... is it £200 each or something ?" to which i replied " oh no we could never afford a place like that" and son said " that's why i thought you had picked it " kids eh .... gotta love em

so makeup is on tomorrow as well ... will wonders never cease for me right now ;)
  • Good idea to do the finance thing when you get paid, to keep on top of it. That's why I'm glad I get paid weekly, I find it easier to manage.

Enjoy putting your make up on! I am scraping the last out of my fabulous foundation and need to replace it, but keep putting it off.
