most definately it should be renamed this.
personally i would just leave it alone, dont worry about facebook and ignore the texts especially if it has been making you poorly in the past:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0 -
erm... offended.. no.. SIL is a nosey moo and wants to bog on the sisters fb so she has more ammunition to !!!!! about her for... HOWEVER.. by responding to any nasty texts regarding sister you are giving SIL EVIDENCE.. so when the next falling ou occurs she can say yes., I know and that butterflylady said x, Y and Z how evil is she?..
You need to distance yourself from any kind of nasty goings on.. you don't have to like OH's family but you are a grown up and can be civil without getting involved in their infantile behaviour!

Sorry, I didn't really understand the original post - I'm not really clear about who has been sending texts to who, who wrote what on Facebook, and who had the original argument. Either way, it all sounds rather silly, and it seems like everyone should just get a grip. Life's too short to fill it full of petty squabbles.0

butterflylady wrote: »Afternoon all,
I'm here to ask some advice its about my OH's family, about 18 months ago there was a huge argument within his family. It centred around his sister taking the mick, with what could have been sorted out sensibly become something more serious due to her hissy fit and other family members getting involved.
The arguement had quite sever health implications for me at the time which everyone is aware of.
18 months down the line OH SIL still dislikes his Sister and makes this clear, where as she (SIL) will be nice as pie with the other family members who got involved and made things worse (for this read foul mouthed and abusive!!)
So today I have been playing about on facebook (:mad:) and found that SIL is friends with the other family member!! However she has not asked me to be friends, I know this is petty but I am the one who recieves txts on almost a daily basis slagging off OH's sister.
Some come on every one tell me how pathetic I am being!!![/QUOTE]
Ok - you are being pathetic! you KNOW that hun, which is why you added that last line!
perhaps what you really want is advice on how to rise above it?
Simples!
be nice to EVERYONE in the family!
Take NO sides!
Refuse to join in any trashing sessions!
find your self-respect and hold on to it! its too easy to get caught up in these things and you could end up losing more than you think!
best wishes

I didn't follow the original post properly either (unclear on who did what exactly), but from what I understood, why the heck do you WANT to be friends with her? It all sounds childish and I'd be avoiding everyone involved as much as possible personally.0
