Welcome Chick-Chick, Lady Pink & Pollybear  great that you can join us :T

The FLYlady challenge is for those of us desperate to have clean, tidy & decluttered homes but not wanting to spend all our time trying to achieve it :T It just means trying to tackle housework in small bite size chunks so we can keep on top of it and not feel overwhelmed. You'll read about '27-fling boogie' 'Swish & Swipe' and using a timer which are some of the little things FLYlady suggests building into your daily/weekly housework 'routines'. Makes housework a bit less boring and we all motivate each other on here whether working, moving house or at home with 9 kids!!! Everyone comes up with tips and suggestions if you ever need help and we also have a bit of a laugh - so jump in and join us. Most people will publish a list of the bits they need to achieve that day/week and take great pleasure crossing things off. Some of us try and follow FLYlady to the letter, others follow bits of it and some of not at all but we're all supportive of each other whatever stage we're at.

  • Welcome to the new flyladies  I am fairly new myself - don't follow it to the letter - way too structured for me, but have taken a lot of advice from the website, and made routines in my planner and write to do lists and what not, plus it's great to see everyone elses lists and realise you're not the only one :), even better is crossing stuff off said lists :D

That being said, my list isn't so good today - barely got anything done as become very sidetracked with doing only ebay!!

Morning all.. having a day off from the dolls house painting. Soooo my list looks something like this :
    • Swish & Swipe Bathroom
    • Swish & swipe kitchen
    • Kitchen Floor
    • Livingroom floor
    • School run
    • Laundry
      • Dark
      • Master bedding? Stripped it last night :D
    • Evening meal
    • Asda - online shop just for prices!
    • Check on ebay - uploaded 46 items yesterday to sell :D
    • Look for images to stick onto dolls house (flowers, birds etc)
    • Pick DD up from school
    • Update Christmas Card list and sort out cards for OH to write. (mine are done :j )
    • Wake brain up :rotfl:
I also have a couple of "not today, but need to be done" jobs
    • Bleach mould in kitchen (will all depend on how well my cough clears up today)
    • Ironing
I'm also going to try and get 10,000 steps and 2 litres of water drank today in. My body is not happy at the amount of junk we've eaten the past 2 or so weeks. :o Off to kick DD into gear. Why does she have to go on a go slow every morning?

My today list is exactly the same as yesterday bar the ebay listing.. because that is the only thing I did get done!!!

    morning!
nicki and pigpen: sorry to hear you both are not feeling well!!! :grouphug: - let's hope it won't interfer with your 'duties' today ;):D

i have to get my head around again to get back into flying!! with both kids well again there are no more excuses :o

ehm, what room are we in anyways??????

    to do:
    - menu planning (again?!??!!? - the weeks fly by in no time!!)
    - shopping list for tomorrow
    - d/w
    - t/d + folding and putting away
    - w/m
    - bathroom floor
    - s/s

let's leave it to basics for now - i still can add things when i spot something needs doing urgently

i also have to sort out xmas!!!!! can't believe what they (family in law) did!
i asked everyone a month ago if they fancy coming around. well, no reply - or no! - fine with me.
then yesterday we got a call from bil that mil told everyone that we'll pick her up on boxing day and haver her around (it's a 70min drive!!)
so bil said they will come too for the day
and my mum will be here too (coming over on the 16th and will stay for 10days ) - but her flight back will be on boxing day to be with the rest of the family.
no way we are driving backwards and forwards on boxing day for mil [grrrrr]

so obviously that needs sorting :D
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work ;)
