hi, can anyone please advise me.
on sunday kasperskey picked up a "dangerous object multi generic" it advises me to neutralise it, when io click to "fix now" nothing happens. it says its in c:\\users\myname[which i best not add on open forum]facebook-pic followed by the numbers of the pic then exe.
kasperskey tells me its malicious software, but its not in the file above,

kasperskey is finding the above daily
on facebook i always clear my wall, but i am unable to delete a row of friends added last week, every time i refresh the page, the row of friends reappear.
i would be grateful if anyone could offer any help or info to sort problem out.
i should have added, i have ran cc cleaner, and ran a full system scan with kaspersky which didnt show up any threats,

Try clearing all of your browsers cache and then check if the line of friends still appears.

try malwarebytes anti malware - tis free so no worries there and because it doesnt have a real time scanner there shoul dbe no conflicts with your current software
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Are you using one browser only? If not, does the friends line appear on all browsers?

Where is the image/virus located according to your anti-virus?

the computer is window 7, i use i.e 7, the file was in c:\\users\my own name\facebook\pic\00320123561.exe. kaspersky has it under quarantine, its status is active. advises to click to neutralise, but kasperskey is unresponsive to this, i have tried to transfer to folder on desktop to scan and cleanse,or delete. it still showing up as active threat in kaspersky. thanks for your response to thread, much appreciated,
i use bing and google chrome both still show facebook friends after deletion

See if you can upload the file to http://virusscan.jotti.org/en (purely for my curiosity).

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)
