meal planning/shopping list app?

Options
I have an iphone (I know, evil consumerism etc etc etc:cool: but I got if cheap-with cashback, and I don't pay a huge monthly bill, and I can afford what I pay) which I obviously always have with me when I go out.
I meal plan, usually a month in advance, and have it written down on computer. But often I go to shops after work instead of having to go on my day off, and I sometimes haven't made my list :o so I end up either buying more than I need, or having to go back the next day to get what I do need.

So-are there any iphone users who can recommend a good (pref free-this is MSE after all :money:) mealplanning/shopping list app that will allow me to keep track of what we are supposed to be eating and what I need to buy?

Thanks :)

  • I downloaded one last week called 'Bill of Fare'. You can put in each meal and there is a grocery list. It wasn't free. Think it was £1.40. I find it a real help.

Nothing wrong with having an Iphone. I have one and it's helping me with my finances brilliantly. I use an app for all my money called 'Pocketmoney' which is fab.

    Anyway, i digress :o

In answer to your question, could you not place your meal planner in 'Notes'? It's a very basic app, however, as it's pre-installed it's free and you can always forward your list from it via email.

Mind you an MSE app would be great. Any chances Martin?

I have a brilliant app called shopshop, and it's a shopping list that you type in, and when you put that item in yr basket, you can mark it off on the screen, I love it, and it stores all previously bought items so you don't need to type everything out each time. I am pretty sure it was free. Give it a go. Can't help with the meal planning one though, sorry.
  • Not a shopping app per se but you might also want to look at Dropbox (it's free) which allows you to share files/documents with your PC. I keep my lists of birthday presents needed/bought.

as this has dropped down the OS board, I've moved it to the mobile phone board to see if any Iphone users over there have any other ideas

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
