It's possible to get 12 bottles of wine for £1.87 per bottle using this deal.
The Sainsburys House Claret and House Red are both on offer at 2x 1.5l bottles for £10 (£2.50 a bottle), but if you buy 6x 1.5l bottles you'll have 12 bottles of wine for £22.50, which is about £1.87 per bottle.
It's not 'wine lite' either.....the Claret is 13.5% and I think the red is something similar.
Pretty good if you're having a big party or just want to stock up.0 -

They may not be wine lite, but IMHO, taste wise, they're not far off vinegar!0 -

Are the 3 for £10 and 3 for £12 still on?
Anyone know please??0 -

Definately! OK for cooking I suppose as well.
The worst one is the house Chianti - they were doing a tasting session in our local branch when the launched them. I nearly spat it out it was so harsh.0 -
Wot's a good 'cheap' wine there ?0

After a recent visit to Potugal, quite got into the wine there and the Sainsburys Vino Verde (white, 9%) is about £3.69 and very drinkable with a lovely citrus tang without tasting weak.
Red wise, I tend to avoid the cheap ones as they are usually fairly harsh. Usually look for the more expensive ones that I know I like when they are reduced. Probably the best I can remember recently was the Californian Gray Fox at £3.99.0 -
They were doing 3 x £8.99 bottles for £12 yesterday - is this still on as that would be a good saving. 6 x £8.99 bottles for £18!!0

The House 'Cotes de Rhone' is available instore for £1.87 per bottle too if you use my method outlined above.
Not tasted it.
The House Red is no longer 2 for £10, though.0 -

I'm always a bit wary of the 3 for 12 and 3 for 10 deals as the original prices look dubious.
There's some really good 'taste the difference' wines reduced to around a fiver at the moment.....if you're looking for quality, I'd select a half dozen of those.0
