When people are revelling over someone not buying, completely ignoring the fact that the only way that person would have been able to buy, is lie on a self certification mortgage.....yet they still keep pointing out "he missed out" and "he could have bought" and "it must be a bitter pill to swallow than you didnt buy"....yes. They exist.

This whole thread is based on a joyous sentiment that somoene on HPC has lost out. It completely ignores the fact that they would have had to have committed, what is, in law, fraud, by lying about his income, in order to buy.

But what does a bit of fraud matter!? LOL, the nutter lost out, haha, must be swallowing a bitter pill now, ha ha ha :T

There is ALWAYS an elephant Hamish consistently completely refuses to acknowledge in every one of his threads lately. Didn't used to be, you couldn't get round the bloke, he'd come up with everything in response to your questions. Not anymore, it's simple ignore, rinse and repeat.

Does Hamish advocate that people break the law to get into debt?

Good for you mate, glad it's working out for some people. Tell me, is anything different about these houses that have fell by this amount, have they been half demolished ?, subsidence or something ?

Or is it some greedy b4stards who've realised that they can't quite load as much debt as they'd hoped onto a unsuspecting buyer :D

The houses are fine and in good areas.
Your second reason is spot on. They are deluded and have finally lowered the price because they know things will get worse.

Even the EA for the first house told me the vendor expected too much money for her house

    .

How do you know that, Liar loan is used at will on HPC and has lost its meaning, how do you know that this person couldn't afford a bottom rung first time buyer house and was holding out for the Holy Grail 4 bedroom detached at [STRIKE]£400k[/STRIKE] £120k?

If it means prices don't fall, seems like it.
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.

How do YOU know, or Hamish know any different? Shouldn't you be asking yourselves that, and not me? If you don't know, are you saying you will simply laugh and point the finger, but if I ask, I have to provide evidence?

You are the one thanking the insistence he could have bought. Not me.

Hamish was the one who started the thread and simply decided to ignore the content.

But thankyou for pointing out that it IS about your problem with HPC, rather than apost based on facts....you've gone into detail about HPC'ers on mass, with no evidence, no proof, and simply applied a massive brush to everyone.

And that kind of proves the point that this whole thread is merely mud flinging and celebration that one of them has fallen.

Graham, what does this have to do with me and the post I submitted?

I don't know any different, it was you that said you did, I merely stated that people shouldn't put off their purchases to achieve some ill conceived timing advantage, if they can't afford then they are not putting off the purchase, are they?

I agree with this, the more extreme bullish posters on here are no different than the 'crashaholics' they despise.

They're two sides of the same coin.

One wants to see the economy 'burn' so they can buy a house (apparently)

The other wants to see the next generation (and some of the current) 'burn' so they get to keep they're paper wealth to sell on at some point.

Erm, you asked a question? I responded to your, erm, question?
  • Wow, this thread has really brought out the hpc apologists and recovery deniers.

So much hostility and personal attacks..... it's blatantly obvious they're absolutely terrified of ending up in the same place as the first poor chap. In fact, most of them probably are, but are just too embarrassed to admit it.

    Very sad.
