Seems like my Tesco is hot off the mark, every High Value good mentioned today and yesterday eve all had sorry not available (red labels) next to where the display product was..... .maybe I am being paranoid, but funny how the TV, DVD Recorder, XBOX and laptop all had these on............ think I need to camp in Tescos and surf the internet in the cafe to get the mispriced goods, they certainly seem quick off the mark!!!
    2007 £1749
    2008 £291.99
    2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99

Tesco Meir Park, Stoke on Trent. . . . CS tried to refund £6 odd to the card until we pointed to the policy!!

Saw this over on the misprices thread and it made me chuckle.

I presume it was the same CS woman as I've had considerable dealings with at Meir Park (I've never seen anyone on the desk besides her!). She really must be trying for an Oscar nomination.

I've had loads of R+Rs from her store, including an Xbox, Motorola L7, and numerous games, DVDs and meat, but she always proceeds to give me the difference until I point to the policy on the wall, at which point she pretends to read the policy, often reciting it out loud, and goes "oh, right!" in this surprised voice as if she never knew about the policy before! She then does the honourable thing and gives a fairly painless R+R (but always marks the receipt and incorrectly says there is no guarantee on the item if it breaks).

It's happened so many times but she always does the same routine without fail! Even the other day she did it for about the 15th time.

I think I might get a plastic Oscar trophy and present it to her for Xmas.

It did make me angry, though, when I saw her only refund the difference to a little old lady who'd been overcharged on some meat, and the old lady accepted it as she didn't know any different. With hindsight I really wish I'd followed her out of the store and told her they'd pulled a fast one on her. I think it's appalling to knowingly swindle old people like that.

So be sure to build trust with a group of like minded people

    Mispriced cat food,,,,,,straight on here
    mispriced Laptops......PM trusted friends

How about items under £50-£100 are posted on a public board like they are atm, then iterms over £50-£100 are pasted on an invite only board that people will only get invited to if they make a good contribution to the normal board, however what happens if someone who is not invited finds a high value item i.e. the Xbox 360
  • Having read through the whole thing cannot see how you find these misprices.
I mean the stickered ones, like the triple boxsets, you obviously just have to study everything on the shelves to check if privces match.

But do you guys really do this for EVERYTHING?

I would love to be able to figure out the bargains myself and come on here and tell everyone, but I don't know how to get them.

Spent half an hour in Entertainment Dept today looking through everything and found no misprices!!

We don't have any scanners in any of the stores near to me, so to find prices I need to take to the til, is that what you all do?

    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

It all takes patience and time, you can always tell an r&r'er (shifty eyes) eyes constantly flicking between stickers on the item and then to SEL or any posters that may have a incorrect price. They also spend hours taking stuff back from failed r&r attempts.

We should all get jobs in Quality Assurance !
  • you're never going to stop a tesco employee gaining access to the site.

Only way i can think of a fool proof way is to either provide payslips and bank statements to prove no pay from tescos or provide at least a months video footage of everything you do to prove you don't put on a tesco top ;)

There is always going to be misprices, tesco have been aware there doing them for some time, yet they still happen. Making a sub forum will be just as easy for them to read through as this one.

I could easily create a site, that is filtered by people IP address or be invite only, but no doubt you'd get a tesco employee finding there way onto it. You'd properly get a member on it coming back to a board like this and posting the misprices anyway.

    :rotfl:

I can see it now tesco red jacket with r&r supervisor on the back, we would save them a mint.:D
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.
