I am fairly new to the whole R&R pocedure and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the following:
1. There is a current offer where you can get a Sony PSP and Tekken game for £159.97 and the store has a special box to take to the till, if i were to take the normal PSP box and the game to the checkout and pay i am fairly sure they would come out at the wrong price, do you think this would qualify for a R&R?
2. Does anyone have any problems trying to get an R&R processed late at night - after Customer Services are closed?
3. Most hardback books seem to be priced at £xx.96, but if the book goes through the till at £xx.97 and the SEL states £xx.97 but there is a sticker on the book stating the price to be £xx.96, does this also qualify for an R&R?
I would be grateful for any help.0 -

Hi there. Not too sure about the first 2 questions, but the third will qualify as a r&r. as long as the sticker states a price lower than the sel, then it will be a r&r. This is how I understand it anyway. hth0 -

Hiya, answers as follows IMHO:
1. No this will not qualify for R&R, you have to buy the bundle item.
2. Shouldn't be a problem, mention it to a staff member or at the kiosk, or with security. There should be a duty manager around, someone who can witness and confirm on your receipt that you were overcharged (you may have to go back in the morning for the actual refund though).
3. Yes this would be a clear R&R. But be careful with the books, most are scanning low by 1p, so no R&R. Check out misprices posted on the other thread, or try one at the till then say you've changed your mind (at the till). It may annoy the cashier a bit but at least you won't have had to go to CS.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Plushchris wrote:Yeah yesterday was good for me, I was starting to feel a bit like the novelty had worn off, especially going to the same old stores all the time, I'm sure a bit of paranoia was creeping in too so the new stores were handy for restoring the faith!
I meant what I said about the legwork, there was no way I would have got that little lot yesterday by just visiting the "local" stores (ie within 20 - 30 miles)
Plan the day out, use the store locator book (just not for directions!) and have fun!
I'm just about to tot up the grand total of yesterdays haul so stand by.....Long Live Rock And Roll0 -
jaffacat wrote:Hi, if someone identifies a misprice on here say on a dvd, is this nationwide or store specific? The reason I ask is that I cant scan in my store therefore if the sticker matches with what someone has mentioned do you think it woudl scan at the same price?
Do T's have a national computer for prices?I take it they do & I would be safe buying if it had been identified on here.
Thanks Lisa
Sometimes the same item will scan at a different price in different stores.
There are many reasons why this can happen. Often it involves the barcode, the same product can different packaging with different barcodes.
I think the stores have a local price database which is updated daily from a central database but I doubt anyone but Tescos know exactly how there IT works for sure !
The only way you know for sure the price you're going to pay is when you pay !
This thread can only give an idea of what may be happening not an absolute answer.
Re Being identified on here ..... Depends what you mean by that but normally that should not make any difference however most people take some effort not to identify themselves just to keep things simple.0 -
Plushchris wrote:Evening all!
Quick post from me before bed, its been a long day! (worthwhile though!)
8 cases of Holsten Export (NOT going through at 2 for £16 as it ended yesterday)
2 six packs of Budweiser
3 copies of Tony Hawks for Xbox (Swapped one for Superman Returns in Sainsburys)
1 each of the 3 disc DVD sets (kung fu hustle, goonies, goodfellas)
Simpsons series 5 boxset
4 Packs tescos Washing tablets
3 cases of Coke (£6.75 SEL)
and a Technika Micro Stereo system (OOD SEL £59.97 scans £69.97)
Could have got two packs of organic chicken breasts too but didnt want to be greedy
And a partridge in a pear tree !0 -
I noticed yesterday staff were rushing round putting up 25% off six bottles of wine, presumably in answer to Sainsburys offer.
Have a read of this post though if you're wondering how they finance it !
