Talk Talk Sales Porkies

First up, I am not a Talk Talk customer so can't comment on the actual service. What I do want to share with everyone is the underhand and dishonest sales tactics they employ. My sister lives in London and was looking for a new b'band deal. I suggested Plusnet (as I do have customer experience) but my sis was door stopped by Talk Talk salespeople. During the visit my sis said she'd been recommended Plusnet by me. The salesgirl claimed that TT owned Plusnet, Tiscalli and Bulldog Broadband. My sis 'fell for it' and signed up with them. She called me and after a quick google, I discovered the claim they owned Plusnet was tosh! Seems it's a common 'tactic' they use. After I told my sis she was livid, she rang Talk Talk and canceled the order! They did so immediately and without any fuss! Was this because the sales porkies are sanctioned from above? Who knows. What they have succeeded in doing is creating even more people who 'wouldn't touch them with a bargepole' AND will tell as many people as possible as I'm doing here! Be warned folks!
