Anyone used UPAD or House Network to let their property?

Bit late reviving this thread (I Googled re uPad and this thread came up) but felt the need to redress the balance a bit!Doozergirl wrote: »Hmmm. I'm starting to think this thread smells slightly of Spam. Anyone else?
I see where you're coming from re spam, but I've used uPad and been very impressed with the service - and I have more than 1 post on here!!! If you search around a bit you can find discount codes that let you place an ad for £49 + VAT instead of the usual £99 + VAT. They're very transparent with their charges and you only pay for the services you actually want to use. They were also proactive in calling me up to ask how viewings were progressing and suggest ways of improving my ad. And they use an 03 number instead of the usual 0843 numbers that you see on Rightmove et al.
Haven't used HN so can't speak for them. There are quite a few online agencies in the market now, but I'm fairly sure that uPad is still the leader. The fact that they don't have many properties listed in your local area is immaterial - what's important is that someone searching on the main portals will find your listing.
David Lawrenson - who posted earlier - wrote "Successful Property Letting" and has used the opportunity to get a plug in - but I have read the book and can recommend it. Knight Property Management also do a free download that's very good for newbie landlords - Google "Knight Killer Tips" and you'll find it.
I also use the Property Tribes website (I've learned a lot there) and I think I recognise CREI as one of the regular posters there, so I can confirm that he does know his onions as far as property is concerned.0
