B&Q Multipurpose Compost 20L £1

This offer has been on since Friday but they still had lots yesterday in my local store and its available for reserve and collect depending on availability. Its for the smaller bags of B&Q Multipurpose Compost 20L at £1 each instead of the RRP of £2.98. I would never pay £2.98 for it but at £1 a bag it was cheaper than the 60L bags of the same stuff selling at 3 for £10 (£1 cheaper). Mind you they also had 70L ones for the same price elsewhere in store. While its not a massive saving, the bags are easier to haul around for more mature gardners and save buying a big bag if you only have a couple of plants to sort out. Am buying some for my elderly rels as they are also easier to transport (the bags not the rels) when we visit to do their plants later in Spring.

For info its also worth checking Homebase, no cheap barrels but twice picked up different 60L bags for 2.50 from pallets reduced over the last week. Went very fast, probably same day as manager reduced them.

Ordered 5 for tomorrow btw there collect service is no guarantee you will get the goods as someone has to pick it up from shop floor at there convenience
  • If you are still after cheap compost then i just remembered my branch of B&Q also had some pallets of J. Arthur Bower's Multi-Purpose Compost 60 in reddy orange packing. It was wheeled in as I was buying the other stuff and the guy put a sign up saying JAB compost £3, which I think is cheap for a brand name and it didn't look like locally produced signage. Its not advertised as reserve an collect but if you google the item, you'll find it comes up at various prices from other sources but none as cheap as £3, Cheers.
