Watching Online Content...which ISP

Hopefully a simple question. I watch a fair bit of US Sports and have subscribed this year and previous years to Baseball content. I'm currently a sky unlimited brodband customer and have noticed that the 'buffering' has got worse over the past few months.
Are some ISP's more resilient than others when watching online content such as Iplayer?
