The going rate at my local scrap yard is £130/ton for cars (more for just metal)
Blimey, the ones around our way wouldn't put their hands in their pockets for something like that. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
£200/car around here,...0

When was the last time you scrapped a car? If you know of a scrappy who would pay a hundred for a car like that, give me his number.[/QUOTE
THE PRICE OF SCRAP IS ON A HIGH AT THE MOMENT, ITS EASIER TO WEIGH IT IN THAN TRY AND SELL IT.
IF YOU HAVE ANY NON-FERROUS METALS TO WEIGH IN THEN YOU ARE ONTO A WINNER, EG COPPER IS ABOUT £3500 PER TON;)Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
I emailed my local scrappy and got this back
It would be worth £150.00 delivered to our yard
considering the last time I scrapped a car I got nothing for it, so that is where it is going.0 -
A few months ago, I got £130, for a banger. They don't care about condition all cars are virtually the same to them. When was the last time you scrapped a car? If you know of a scrappy who would pay a hundred for a car like that, give me his number.
The scrappies buy them from auction up to £250 with the sole intent of scrapping them. Of course they don't usually pay Joe Bloggs that amount if they can get away with £100+0
