Concert sounded excellent! It's great that someone like George Michael has shown his appreciation for nurses. Was worried that due to fog may have been postponed. Well done to everyone who won and keep up the good work!0

 :j Well done choccy, Its great to hear that it was a genuine offer of tickets, I was working lastnight until the early hours, and today was my first day off since last week so I would have missed out anyway sadly if Id been selected for a ticket. Its great to hear you had a fab time and once again, how nice of GM to do this, we can all take this concert as a display of appreciation, nurses and all nhs workers, how nice to hear, it can be rare these days due to bad press but I find that its only very few people who seem unappreciative of their care, in fact during the last few days especially, I have had some of the nicest things said to me in thanks for nursing care given, and to be honest, that can be the biggest reward a nurse can receive, we're certainly not in it for the money are we xxxxx:rotfl:This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. i agree. its a wonderful feeling to get thanked for even little things that we do, as its usually the little things that mean the most.
i have been nursing for over 20 yrs and i wouldn`t ever want to do anything else. its so rewarding, even with the crap that we can get.......
so well done to george for giving us wonderful support.
now can we get him to talk to madonna and robbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well she did fall off a horse last year...................................0 -

hi again . We were right at the front at the barrier so were able to talk to security staff. They said that there were 2,400 nurses there . We saw David Walliams and Ricky Gervais in the front seats of the upper circle. Newspaper reports say that Kenny Goss was there too but we didn't see him .It was really something to stand and listen to someone who is so famous and talented voicing his genuine appreciation and respect for our profession. I have been in nursing since 1988 and can honestly sat it has never been as depressing as at the moment with all the cutbacks . I had had a really stressful shift the previous day but George Michael has made me re kindle my faith in the job ....... for the moment anyway!!!0
