Possible overcharging on final bill from Virgin Media?

Hey,
I hope somebody on here might be able to offer some advice.
I was with Virgin Media for my tv, landline, and broadband from 20th January 2010, and on the 25th January 2011 I phoned them up to close my account, as from the 10th February 2011 I would be living with family, who have their own media accounts so I wouldn't be needing to take mine.
So, on the 9th of February my tv box was taken, and as planned we moved out the day after.
Yesterday I received my final bill, I was expecting a final bill, obviously, but I was not expecting to be charged up till March.
They're charging me full whack, for the sports, movies which I think is unfair seeing as they took away the box on the 9th, but not only that, the billing says it is for usage between the 21st February - 20th March. This has me confused, as I called up on the 25th to cancel, surely my account would be closed from the 25th February?
It appears to me I'm being over charged.
I'd really appreciate any helpful replies, I know I could just call them up but I hate their customer services so I'd sooner see what I can find out from impartial sources before calling.
Thank you in advance,
Scarlett.

I'd agree, as the notice period is 30 days.
After charging for the period 21 Feb to 20th Mar, are there then any reductions for, say, 26th Feb to 20th Mar?
Or did they charge full whack?
As for the sports/movies, the trick is to have them removed as they are optional premium channels, then give 30 days notice on the rest.Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -

I think this is normal, they bill you as normal until the 30 day period is up, then once that date has passed they refund you any over payments. Sounds daft, but they do it like that because I think you can cancel your cancellation anytime up to the 30th day.0
