Why does his cut an dpaste make you more comfortable? It makes me less comfortable in fact as he doesn't want emails..

What i meant was the fact he states that it is a genuine UK spec ipad.

Would it be worth phoning him?

It wouldn't hurt, but remember a con man is always the nicest most believable person you can deal with. A mobile is also disposable, so just because you can contact him now doesn't mean he will still be around later.

That's interesting, they have tracked down an address which doesn't seem quite as legit as it ought to and most users there seem to think it is a scam.

I agree with many of the comments though, if seller thinks he can do a runner with the money he is seriously mistaken as he is bound to be on a 21 day hold. So he will have to string people out beyond the 21 days (which I suppose is easily do able ) and then with any luck get them to 45 days and outside a paypal claim.

  • How about putting in a paypal claim on day 20. By that day he should have sent if it is legit and if not the funds would be held by paypal due to a dispute.

You seem quite determined to go ahead, it just seems a lot of hassle for something that seems more and more likely to be a scam.

What happens if you get a fake, or what happens if it fails outside the 45 day paypal timeframe especially as seller is working away so often and doesn't like emails.

  • I would be most worried about a fake tracking ID. It really isn't worth the hassle. A fool and their money......

I think ill take the hit of a none payment strike but having seen what else he has for sale i bet the listings get pulled within the next few days.
