About to start LLB Law Distance Learning at Northumbria

I'm not doing the course, but it brings back memories of my previous law training. I studied via the ILEX route, both classroom based and distance learning. Very interesting, but very hard work. Good luck, and enjoy :-)

I did my LLB by distance learning (well, part of it, started off by attendance) at Nottingham Trent and really enjoyed it. Good luck!

Thank you for your replies! It encouraging to see other people who have done the LLB by DL. I wouldn't be able to commit to attending every day with 3 kids, this way I can do my work from home and still take care of my family!

Do you have any attendance (we used to have weekends in a hotel!), or do they have a forum or Facebook group? I wasn't able to mix with the other students for health reasons (mental, not contagious!), but would definitely recommend it if possible.

Nope its all DL. I am waiting for my enrolment letter to arrive (should get it tomorrow) then I will find out what online support there is (hopefully there will be a forum). Years ago I did an OU course and there was a forum with that course which was great!

Only just enrolled a couple of days ago so they will be on their way soon!

I had to enroll by Monday next week but as I didn't have my first fee money until Tuesday this week I couldn't do it before.

Hope you don't mind me asking you but what are your reasons for doing distance learning instead of the traditional university path? Also, what are your future plans? How are you going to go about achieving them? Sorry for the questions but I am really considering my future at the moment and this is something I may look into. Many thanks
