Company Mobiles

My company has a contract with 8 mobiles which has 6 months left to run. As for a lot of businesses we have for sometime been struggling and have been up front with our provider asking to come out of the contract as the phones are no longer required. We have finally had to resort to liquidation and have given 1 months notice to terminate the contract (which is fully paid todate) but they will not release us, and we simply cannot pay? Does this seem reasonable when we have tried to be honest about our situation and to date kept the contract paid??

If you mean is it fair to the phone network that you have told them whats happening then yes it is.
If you mean are they being fair to your company then yes they are ....just because your company can no longer afford to pay for the rest of the contract does not mean they should write it off.
I'm quite sure if one of your customers rang you and said they couldn't afford to pay you what they owed, you wouldn't say "don't worry we will forget about it"
Buisiness is buisiness I'm afraidIt's not just about the money0
