Anyone used Payless Car Rental?

I did a search on Kayak for an intermediate vehicle in Orlando. The cheapest option was with Payless Car rental but when I clicked on the link it took me to the American site and it doesn't look as if the insurance we need is included.
Has anyone booked with them before and if so were the insurances extra?

I've just been to Orlando and Payless, to me, looked dodgy.
If it's a US site chances are you won't get any insurance as most Americans use their own car insurance when renting a car.
I'd stick with Avis, Hertz, Dollar etc0 -
Yea it looks funny to me too but I think what got me the most was that a search through Kayak would take me through to a site catering solely for Americans.
It's hard enough trying to find a bargain and trying to work out if a tank of fuel is included or not without trying to make sure the insurance we need is in the package too
.
My eyes are getting so square gazing at the PC booking our holiday bits and pieces :think:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I've just come back from a Holiday in Toronto (Courtesy of the bargain flights with Sunwing) - I went through Kayak (and others) ended up booking a car through Payless. What a let down - ended up costing me more than double what I thought it was costing me and I didn't make the saving I thought I was making. It didn't work out cheap (£320 for a Ford Focus for 5 days). There were no few than 9 different surcharges to the base price listed. To be fair some were voluntary (eg Crossing border into USA - but that was a mistake - I spent 2 days in USA, but they charge the Border Crossing fee for all 5 days, and also because you leave Ontario, the "unlimited mileage" becomes 200 miles per day) - the only one I can really argue now (which I did when I took out the rental) was the Personal Accident Insurance, which they insisted was compulsory, but their web site marks down as optional - but that, by itself, didn't make a huge difference. But although they may be "legitimate", all these charges are fragmented, semi hidden and difficult to work out in advance.
At the beginning of the year I booked a car in San Francisco through netflights, who advertise fully inclusive fees, and they were! The price I was quoted is exactly the price I paid. (Just looking at what a car in Toronto would cost me in July with netflights, and fully inclusive it is showing as £155 economy, £170 compact and £195 Intermediate - so a significant saving on what I actually paid to Payless - though their quote was lower!!)
I've learnt my lesson I think, and from now on I'll steer clear of cheap prices that aren't described as all inclusive!0
