Am with Vodafone, never had many issues, found them pretty good but then I am too loyal for my own good I think so prob overlooked things. I am looking for a new phone- torn between an iphone, samsung galaxy s or an HTC desire at the moment and seeing as my phone signal is not all that great recently I have been thinking about leaving Vodafone so looking for the best alternative. Any advice gratefully received thanks

I have been with Tesco since the iphone4 came out last June, I have had no problems apart from difficulty in understanding the bills!!, never the less I have never had any charges that I wasn't expecting. In fact I recently found that calling certain countries from UK to be much much cheaper than I expected!
EG Dubai only 20p per min although I know the price is set to rise slightly soon.
To be honest I think whoever you speak to will have both good and bad to say about ALL networks, just go for the best one to suit you!0 -
im a payg customer with tesco, better reception and much cheaper than orange. Im only a light user but when you top up 10 you get 20 free credit which is actually used before the 10 you put on is. so you get 30 credit for 10 everymonth.Grocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000

Tesco have no coverage of their own - they use (and rebrand) O2 network service. ASDA use Vodafone.0

I'm happy with my Tesco £10 a month sim only deal.... only negatives I think are:
Basic website account info available and slow to show same day calls/data
Data limits often quoted as 'unlimited' BUT in fact are often limited to 500Mb a month with heavy charges for every megabyte you go over this limit. (so no good for heavy youtubers, Iplayers etc but fine for everyday web/email/etc)
No reception issues, they use O2's network, data has never been blisteringly fast in some areas but it works reliably on the whole.
Never trust information given by strangers on internet forums0 -
I have been interested in this thread as I thought Tesco were given a lower priority on the network than 02 customers.
However I have been very interested in the network as Im looking for a 12 month contract, i like the 02 coverage too.
I was also looking at Vodafone but not sure whehter they are better or worse than Tesco.0 -
I suppose it depends where you live. I used to have Tesco for a while, and no problems except reception is not good both at my home and my work (compared to Orange). I would advise to use o2 simcard PAYG first to check reception before you sign a contract. By reception problems I mean people who I was talking to on phone were complaining that they cannot understand what I say.0

I've been with Tesco (O2) since I got my iphone last August and have been more than happy with the service I receive - I've also toured parts of Europe and it's all been good.
Don't believe I receive a lesser service as we've been is many situations where I've been the only one with a signal compared to others on various networks lol. Some peeps threw a wobbler when Tesco appeared as their service provider as opposed to O2 - but hey, how shallow and insecure is that???
My contact is up in July - and I have no hesitation in staying with Tesco - albeit I may chose a rolling monthly contract.0
