Demand payment of the incurred charges from the school. Its not your fault that they are sloppy with their payment runs and you shouldn't be expected to pay for it.

Indeed. If they have made a mistake then they are liable for any charges incurred. Don't let the bank know that you have been reimbursed if you're going to reclaim them from the bank ;) .

BTW, to reclaim the one charge you've ever incurred just write a polite letter saying how you've been a loyal customer since 1993 and have always been happy with their service in the past (OK so you may have to lie) but now you have noticed a marked decline in standards and that after a great deal of soul searching you feel that the time has come to take your custom elsewhere. You should get a refund. You can also point out that this is the first time you've been in this position...

:grouphug: This is so out of order - from the school and the bank really. A bit of help wouldn't go amiss, especially as you are letting them know in advance!

I feel for you anniestar :o

Thanks Moozie, we have done everything that the banks always say to do at the first sign of trouble(even if its not of our own making) and then they don't want to know.We WILL manage, well we will have to won't we.I'm pretty good manager of resources and will try not to stress too much. Am still dead mad!!! DH is in a total sh!tho*e of a school and despite putting himself through that(normally supplys last on ave 2days!)we are still skint. We have £23.87(the DD that they dishonoured was for the grand sum of £28.00 good eh?)in the account, I've got about£4.50 in my penny jar,DH has got £6.55 in wallet and in my purse £7.98. BOY AM I FUMING. Dont know who I am the most angry with, the school, the LEA(& their !!!!!! attitud e) or Nat West.

That's appalling behaviour, from the bank, the school and the LEA. And poor you stuck in the middle of it all - I'm not suprised you're spitting mad :(

Hope you get it sorted and that they have some serious aplogising to do - good luck with the letters!

Have contacted the school and the LEA. DH out with year 11's so not on site today. I think I must have gained the ability to speak in Srbo-Croat overnight-because I didn't seem to be making sence to anyone. Yes it hasn't been paid, no there seems to be no one responsible, yes you must be annoyed . No w cant say for sure it will be in next week(!) as we don't know why it hasn't been paid this week.At this point I decidd to ring off before I said that I may regret. Now worrid about the next weeks money as DH off site today(now repeating myself-sorry) and has to sign the form. Have been assured that there will be no problem(!!!!) over this.We wait and see. Have written to Nat West and will phone them later.Had real problems getting to sleep as still MAD. Thank you so much to everyone that has helped it ha scalmed me down (a bit) Annie xxx
