Only employee trial just now so probably still ages away from release.0 -
Surely O2 and Vodafone are companies that least need a femtocell, as they can use the 900Mhz band?
Its Orange, T-Mobile and Three who really need to be looking into these. Especially Three as they don't have a 2G network, and are cutting away from roaming onto Oranges!0 -
No any HTC Orange supplied can use the Kineto Smart-Wifi app to route calls over wifi to Orange servers, UMA is offically supported by Orange only in the UK, but Vodafone customers got support indirectly via BT Mobile being set up for UMA - a Vodafone reseller. UMA was what BT Fusion was based on except the connection was bluetooth to a BT HUB point only. Wifi was the norm not bluetooth and it spelt the death of Fusion for BT as wifi was not limited to bluetooth paired BT HUB (routers)....shame BT restricted such.....now you wonder why BT Mobile is only avail to BT business customers, BT put a nail in thier own coffin.
Check out smartphones and dual handsets links www.umatoday.comSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Im reading this thread with interest as we are moving to a house where I will receive no signal whatsoever with my iphone which is on orange. Ive had a look at the wifi calling thing mentioned above but I cant use it on my phone. Ive never heard of a signal repeater and will google that now but why is it illegal? Is there anything else I can do on orange to improve or at least get a signal.
Thank you.0 -

yeah i have already signed up for the Tmobile coverage too but its really bad where we are moving to and I cant get a tmobile signal either. Sometimes people can get a little bit of signal with o2 but I am not able to change for a long time and would really benefit from the signal with orange as im self employed and use my phone as my main contact.0

Android handsets only. Apparently it's going to be pre-loaded on a whole bunch of android handsets coming out over the next few months. Another reason to ditch the iphone.0
