I do understand your neighbours frustration to some extent.
My neighbour rescued a JRT nearly 2 years ago, she works shifts but thankfully not nights. From the moment she closes her front door to the moment she returns the dog barks constantly. As a result we have to have our TV on almost full blast and can still hear the high pitched yap in the background. He has the run of the house too so the barking volume changes depending on room he's in.
For most of the time its bearable, but when she's on a 6am start on a Saturday morning it drives me dizzy. I had to text her at 3am on New Years Day and ask her to come home as nobody could sleep.
I haven't done anything about it other than that, I figure it means she can't really complain if we make a little noise ourselves, but please dont underestimate how incredibly infuriating it can get.0
