nokia 6111 connectivity to PC/XP ... confused how + software's in XP but can't find

Hi

Trying to connect Nokia 6111 with PC ... bluetooth and infrared switched on on the phone, Know Windows XP has the bluetooth software in it but I can't find it anywhere (there isn't the bluetooth section coming up in control panel, + have checked in add/remove windows components). bthprops.cpl is on the Pc (found it via search ... it won't run/bring up the bluetooth stuff so I can enable it).

Understand can use a cable (DKU-2) to connect phone manually to PC, but that still need the bluetooth software up and running on the PC ... but can't find that. Understand can buy a bluetooth adaptor, which will come with software, but am thinking I don't need that if the software is already somewhere on the PC.

Put Nokia PC Suite onto the PC first, before realising I had to enable bluetooth software on the PC, so I understand it won't find the phone yet, but should once the bluetooth software is found!?

If anyone can help, would really appreciate it :-)

you will need a bluetooth adaptor if you computer doesnt have integrated bluetooth. windows xp may auto install drivers for your bluetooth adapter so you can use the integrated windows bluetooth software

Many thanks for clarifying I'll need a bluetooth adaptor. It's a Dell 1100, so I'm thinking it hasn't got Bluetooth integrated, but that Win XP will pick auto install once the bluetooth adaptor is there.
