No all claimants will be retested that are off working age.
There has been nothing in the news about DLA stopping at 65.0 -

That's what I thought until the proposals were posted on this site earlier(1)A person is not entitled to the daily living component or the mobility
5component for any period after the person reaches the relevant age.(2)In subsection (1) “the relevant age” means—(a)pensionable age (within the meaning given by the rules in paragraph 1of Schedule 4 to the Pensions Act 1995); or(b)if higher, 65.0 -
Yeah just scanned the welfare reform bill and saw that. Ridiculous. More pensioners into poverty.0

They can't get mobility. I doubt most can afford a new car.0

Why will they suddenly be plunged into poverty if they lose a perk that most pensioners don't get?
You're attitude is what causes a lot of resentment/ Hardly a perk if you're crippled.0 -

My husband is crippled with rheumatoid arthritis but because he was 65 when it flared up although he gets high rate AA he cannot have any help towards mobility. We have to manage and if people can't afford to buy a car then they will have to do without.
My resentment was actually because of the unfairness of people his age getting mobility payment when he couldn't because he was a few weeks too late. At least now it looks as if the position of all mobility challenged pensioners will be the same and not before time.0 -
Aaahhh jealous is what forms your opinion.0

it's strange how 'equality' always mean that some people lose.
why take the mobility away? why not give it to all over 65's?
oh yeah....it'd cost money!
it's fine to keep giving the workshy money to reproduce, but we all know that anyone over 65 doesnt ever need to go anywhere!!0 -
