in Mobiles
Hi Guys, quick question. I have moved job recently and my new location gets absolutely no signal from the 3 network, either normal signal or 3G. I rely on my phone quite a lot and really need some advice as to what I can do. I am in a £19 per month contract for another 12 months. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Paul.
Their site says "You can use your mobile to make calls, send texts and use the internet in most outdoor locations. If you're inside you may struggle to get a signal." when i put in the postcode...

To be fair, it's a case of buying out your contract. No network covers 100% UK Population, and it's not Three's fault you moved location.
Ask them if they would cancel the contract if you returned the phone? No harm in asking, but expect a "no" as an answer.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Perhaps might be good to see how it is when you are there first?0

Thanks guys, I`m already moved and its just frustrating that when I leave at the end of the working day I will get several e mails and texts due to getting signal back again............0

Not wishing to sound harsh but similar questions are bought up all the time on this board. I don't see how people can expect the Networks to foot the bill for a change that is absolutely nothing to do with them.
3 are actually pretty good when/if they decide to 'amend' their coverage in an existing location by switching off a transmitter. If your residential address is adversely affected due to this change they will normally let you out of the contract if you return your phone.
If, however, your personal circumatances change and result in you using a new cell tower with reduced coverage, I fail to see how you can even think that the networks will do anything about it. They are running a business after all....0 -
I can see your rationale but again without sounding harsh why should I pay a monthly fee for a service or product which they cant provide me with?!?!?
In the current economic climate I need to move to keep my job so the choice really was not mine.....0 -
What phone have you got? If it still has some value then sell it and put the proceeds towards paying off the remainder of the contract.
This is possibly the only option you have I'm afraid.
Good luck0 -

Because it's a contract you entered into and originally accepted. It's not their fault you moved locations. Your only option is really to appeal to their better nature, legally you don't have a leg to stand on.Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0
