Hiya
Afraid I only got up to the bit about dominating male cleaners and microwaves (though those two topics weren't connected!). Haven't got a domination story but I can pretty much guarantee our microwave is bust. Used it as normal and when I went to take the food out it was stone cold and the microwave casing was burning hot! Don't reckon that's so good so it's gone to our friendly scrap metal man. I didn't realise how much I used the microwave until it died! Must save for a new one!
Sorry for all the birthdays I've missed - happy birthday to everyone who had a celebration in the last week or two.
Flying....decluttered a microwave:rotfl:, several big items on ebay (including the caravan!!!!), s/s ing gradually.
We're on half term and having a lovely relaxing time of lie ins and doing as little as possible. It's lovely.
Hugs to all xx0 -

Evening all,
mudbath - nice to see you posting hope you are on the mend.
Sorry havent been on much the past few day, FIL took a turn for the worse and was readmitted to hospital at the weekend, unfortunately he passed away this morning took us all by surprise including the doctors who were discussing letting him home 30 mins before he went, he quietly went to sleep and after all his suffering since last summer it was the best outcome that we could have hoped for. Girls very upset as he was there last grandparent but we are focusing on the good times, meeting with the minister and funeral director tomorrow and they want to come not sure how it will go but if it helps them to say goodbye then it can only be a good thing.
AnW & mum - sorry the weather hasnt been great for your visit north but thats Scotland for you - hope you all enjoyed your trip to the yacht its one of my favourite outings.0 -

Have done some rough maths to sort out new income/outgoings. Obviously I need to wait until I see what REALLY comes in once the tax man has had his share BUT I think I need to find a new personal pension and savings account. I moved my personal pension into my work one 18 months ago, as my current company pension was in the same funds as my personal one. I've recently closed my savings account and am going to combine the proceeds with part of my bonus to pay a chunk off the mortgage.
So I'm going to increase my regular mortgage payment (I'm already overpaying), and start saving again. This means that when I move I can transfer the savings amount to the mortgage and I won't notice the difference as my outgoings will be the same (in theory). I've got to call the bank about the mortgage payment tomorrow, so I'll see whther they'll open a savings account for me without me having to fill in reams of paperwork... I already have a a current account and mortgage with them, so hopefully they'll see sense. And I need to make sure that all the overpayments come off the capital...
Shattered now. Need to make a hot water bottle and go to bed. Not going to the gym tomorrow as I'm still too snotty. Fingers crossed the cold is gone by monday.0 -
