T Mobile, early upgrade due to handset error?

I am just looking for a little advice.....I am currently 4 months away from the end of an 18 month contract with T Mobile (Blackberry Curve 8520) and I want to upgrade my handset because I am frequently plagued by " error 523 "
In your experience, are T Mobile likely to allow me to do this?
What is the best way to go about getting an early upgrade?

It usually 3 months from the end point of the contract, but you could try them. Bear in mind, if you upgrade early the remaining time is added to the end of the new contract. So a new 18 months with run 21 months. . .0
