Comment says it all. Ford official pricing is rediculous at the moment.

DS3 is a good idea, very smart cars.

Personally I think the Mini has so much more appeal than a Fiesta. Plus it won't depreciate as fast.

It depends if you like comfort or being jogged about. I had a Mini Cooper, was a cracking looking car (and no it wasn't red with a white roof),
but it was a very jittery ride and useless in the snow. Last year I changed it for a Fiesta 1.25 Zetec, a lot more comfortable.

Winter tyres would solve that. My current car (Renault Laguna) was absolutely useless in the snow on it's factory fitted tyres.

And how much would that have cost on run flats?

Surely you don't need to have run flats just because the originals are? Also that's probably got a lot to do with the hard ride.

Motorists in this country need to stop dismissing winter tyres just because they cost a bit of money, tbh

Probably cost less than the cost to change the car too ;)

Same engine in both cars (Peugeot HDi 1.6).

Get the Fiesta, but find a deal. £12k is too much.

Can't believe I'm about to say this but here goes. What about a Citreon DS3? It does look nice (in my opinion) might stretch the budget though.
