    Platform

Juke is based on the Renault Nissan Alliance’s B-platform, already used by Nissan for the Micra, Note and Cube and by Renault for the Twingo, Clio and Modus.

    Oooooooops

read the post it maybe based on the micra's PLATFORM but the size's are completely different. micra is small whilst the juke is way bigger and pointed that out, as a poster said like the micra and jukes are a small car when the juke is far from small.

    oooooops

It's still classed as a "B Class" platform.
  • I really like the Juke. I think its quite a good price for that size and spec of car. Its a bit weird looking, I'll agree but its not very fair to put it in the same league as the Multipla!

    I like the Juke.

If I see you pull up in a Juke I can run a mile. :D

But seriously, it's one of those cars that people love or hate. Whilst the styling is Wacko there's a decent 1.6 turbo on some models which means it will be a decent and competent drive.

yes and thats the only simalarity they have. my point is correct, its way way bigger than the micra! to say the sizes are same, similar is just plain ludicrouse, thats like saying the fiat 500 is of same, similar size to a hummer!

the platform never came into dispute, the size did.
  • Juke is available as 5dr, quite discreetly done, similar to seat Leon where the door opening handle is hidden in the rear pillar section.

They do look a bit funny from the front, ugly duckling like :rotfl: but I quite like them albeit not had a good look at them inside. Nissan are renowned for not matching everything up internally :p

Haha just logged on to see if I had a reply and see I have started a bit of a debate!! Thanks for your advice and comments, going to start looking at the options suggested, many thanks, liz
  • I saw that Nissan are doing a 5.9% finance deal (the type with the balloon payment) with 3 years free servicing and RAC cover. This is on a new model but there won't be many 2nd hand for a while as the model only came out in Sept 2010. Hth :)
  • I've got a Juke and I love it - so unique!
Mine is top of the range, so has has lots of gadgetry, but a couple of points:- yes the ride is a bit bumpier than my last car, but don't let that stop you taking a test drive to see what it feels like for yourself. The high driving position is good though.

In terms of value and getting one 2nd hand. Yes, with a new car as soon as you drive it the vehicle loses value. But that's only an issue if you wanted to sell it rightaway. In terms of getting one 2nd hand, you're unlikely to see much of a bargain there I'm afraid. Supplies of the Jukes are low from the manufacturer, and demand is high.

Its useful to hear this from a Juke owner - there aren't that many out there yet as the car is so new.

I've been looking into the diesel version, some of the gadgets like the rear parking camera are very cool!
