I have now acquired a laptop and would like to be able to use it " wireless"but I dont want to go wireless on my 2 main pcs.

If you are using the Orange supplied hardware (which you more than likely are), then the wireless radio in the router has been enabled since day 1 - all you have to do is enter the wireless encryption key in to the laptop when you select the option to connect to your wireless network.

Are you using a wireless router or just a broadband modem and network card to the plug ?

If you have a wireless modem then that is connected to the internet and you just connect the laptop to the modem and use the codes that hopefully are on the sticker on the bottom of the modem.

I hope you have not set it up with WEP wireless encyrption, because that is now effectively obsolete and not at all secure. Use one of the WPA options if available.
If you want to use your laptop outside the home you will need to connect to an aavilable wi-fi network, or buy a wireless USB dongle.

Already answered in post 7: connect to another free wi-fi network, or purchase a wireless dongle that works over the mobile phone network.
