i always said that i'd play fair whilst they played fair, but as tesco have now hidden the individual price checker and because they say that a whole load of items arent comparable (even tho mysupermarket manage to compare them!) then they have made it so we just dont know if its cheaper at asda without buying it first. That, in my opinion is playing dirty.
So for every pound that they cheat me out of , i'm gonna cheat them out of two in return. It would be easy to print my own dot.com receipts and equally easy to create a printable voucher to along with it.
Umm, as much as it irritates me greatly too that they are removing the price checkers from stores, two wrongs don't make a right and creating your own receipts amounts to fraud and on your head be-it, I wouldn't even if I knew how!
You want to complain the best thing you can do is to write an email/letter and vote with your feet. If they remove the price checker from my store I will either make longer queues for them (and so more frustrated customers who may decide to shop at Asda by default) by price checking at the till before going off to find more things I need to price check, or I just wont buy what they sell. Either way they lose out.0 -

Jennie - i was referring to the search box on the tescopricechecker webite, not those little blue boxes in the stores lol.
In my opinion, lieing to customers that you will give a dtd voucher for all comparable items and then not paying it, is fraudulent too. I know what you mean about two wrongs though and will consider that and the consequences if/when my words ever become actions0 -
Is it any wonder they're removing the individual price check capability when threads like this try as hard as possible to find items specifically for the purpose of obtaining money/free items from Tesco?0

Then quite simply tesco should not be advertising that they are cheaper if they quite frankly are not. If they were then they would not have to pay out the DTD vouchers - simple!
But i do not condone breaking the T&Cs, as far as i am concerned, if im shopping within my £100 limit, using only one email address and not breaking any rules then its tescos fault for not having the correct conditions on their offer.0 -
What's to prevent people from taking advantage of this?
Example:
Own Label Professional Roasting Pan 35x25cm costs £10.21 at Tesco and £5.00 at Asda. Tesco will give you double the difference (£10.42) so, assuming you shop at Tesco, which some folk do, you have a roasting pan for -£0.21.
So if I bought 476 roasting pans, I would get my weekly shop (£100) for free plus have £2380 worth of roasting pans. This would be great as they're always a !!!!!! to clean and I could dispose of them after a single use.
I think I may test the water by purchasing 5 pans at a cost of £51.05 and then gradually build up to 476.
Thanks

You should try giving tesco a call (for free 0800 505 555 Monday to Saturday: 9am to 6pm) before correcting their mistake yourslef with an altered voucher (which would not be fraud unless you go for more than they shorted you)
one of my shops they did not compare "2x coco pops 295g £1.89 tesco £1 asda" and "fox's caramel chunk cookie 200g tesco £1.79 asda £1" DTD was £5.14 short got a gift card for £10
got at 1:55 AM "Dr. Oetker Ristorante Hawaii Pizza 355g £2.56 tesco £1.5 asda" but later that day the asda price went up to £2.57 so DTD was off by £2.14 got a £3 gift card on the way.
will be giving them a call at 9AM today about 2 items listed as N/A "DOLMIO PASTA BAKE CARBONARA 480G £1.76 tesco £1 asda" it may be a bit tricky as asda have it listed wrong as 500g but it is 480g that they sell.
"CADBURY DAIRY MILK CARAMEL EGG+ SML EGGS 177G £2.50 tesco £1 asda" and this one tesco has wrong as it is 178g that they and asda sell.
When i was on the phone to them on thursday about the pizza I told them that they had the egg listed wrong and should correct it but as the egg was £1 at both stores then (went to £2.50 later that day in tesco) it did not make any difference to my DTD voucher0 -

The 400 sheet roll is 52p in my local too, but I got the 800 sheet rolls as it is marginally better value.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
